Word From The Director

Since 2012, we are a growing institution in Muyenga, a beautiful suburb of Kampala and this year we reached the 10-year milestone.
The school offers an internationally recognised curriculum for primary and secondary students (Years 1 to 13).

We follow the British National Curriculum (Pearson-Edexcel IGCSE, GCE-A ‘level and BTEC Level 1, 2 and 3) with a distinct Ugandan flavour, at an affordable price. The yearly tuition fees (expressed in $) range from about 2200 $ in Year 1-4 to less than 4000 $ in Year 12-13 (exam fees excluded). A detailed fee structure is downloadable from this website.

Together with our highly motivated, trained and experienced teaching staff, we create a friendly environment where learning is fun, differentiated and hands-on.
The school offers a wide variety of extra-curricular activities and clubs to cater to individual talents and to promote the holistic development of your child. We have a very successful Optimum Learning Centre (OLC) for students with learning challenges. Most secondary OLC students are enrolled in BTEC level 1 course, as a 2-year programme, and we also added BTEC level 2 for OLC and Year10 students, as an alternative for some IGCSE subjects and as a preparation for level 3 BTEC in years 12/13.

Since September 2018, we double streamed every year group up to year 11, and we have a separate primary and secondary campus. To ensure that individual attention is rendered to each student, we keep the average class size at 24. In Year 12/13, the class size is about 12.
Despite our continuous growth, we intend to keep the total student population limited to a maximum of about 530 to preserve the family atmosphere we greatly cherish at BSK.
Hopefully, you can find all the necessary information on our website to satisfy your queries about the school. If not, please don’t hesitate to contact us by email, phone or by visiting us.

Yours sincerely,
Mr Rene Van de Velde
