Welcome to the British School of Kampala Secondary Page.

BSK secondary is one of a kind. A school that targets small groups (maximum 24 per class) rather than numbers, we are able to nurture students as individuals. We have an experienced team that knows the student on an individual basis, which is part of the beauty of a small school. BSK Secondary aims at promoting both the sciences and the artistic subjects, and, in Years 12/13, the 5 BTEC subjects, which are less academic and more practical/skill-orientated (more info about BTEC?). BSK Secondary school boasts a large swimming pool, a tennis court, a soccer pitch, two basketball courts, four science labs, a music room, a large engineering room and 2 IT-rooms. Pastoral care We build relationships based on trust and respect, with a full time school psychologist and counselor to enrich this process. We have created respectable boundaries, curbing indiscipline issues and using our code of behaviour as a guide to help our students keep on track. We run an open door policy and enjoy a productive Parents Staff Association, where we openly share any matters of concern. At BSK, we offer a holistic experience of both nature and nurture with the close partnership of our parents.

Teaching philosophy

We believe in the differentiated style of imparting knowledge. Each student taught depending on his/her strength, needs and aspirations. We believe that our students are different and should be handled as such. Every week is run on a theme, which is derived from the targets we set, and every teacher on duty ensures they tag in a week.
